Another give away!

Alrighty now, I want to give another dove away! Cause
I think they are so darn cute and someone else should
have one too. But before I get to the question for the
give away I want to show this sheep ornament I got
at the craft show this weekend. It was so cute!
Just look at that little face. I'm thinking about raising
sheep one of these days. Just a couple for fun. Fun?
Anyway it'll look good on my tree.
Now for the question....What's your favorite Christmas
decoration that you love to put out year after year?
Below is my most favorite, its a Father Christmas that
was made by a doll artist from Grand Rapids.
Her name is Connie Masten. She doesn't have a website
that I could find I bought him at a craft show at
Cook Nuclear Power Plant in 1995. Way before 911,
cause now you can't drive pass the gate.

Any way she sculpted his face out of clay, looks so
real. His coat and mittens are hand knitted by her.
The card states ,"that the peacock and crown design
was found on a glove knitted for a British lord.
The date 1833 was also knitted into the glove."
The coat is a beautiful navy flecked with red and

cream colored designs. He has a beard of curly
sheep roving, its so soft and looks so real,
there's even a twinkle in his eyes.
The basket is full of miniature wooden toys.
I have to describe him, cause my pictures didn't
turn out like I hoped they would. It was a tricky day
for me. So, I will draw another name on Saturday,
tell me what your favorite Christmas decoration is
and you might be the one to win a dove.

Did you think I forgot?

Well, I didn't! The winner of this ornament...drum roll please is ...
Heather from Humblebeads! Way to go girl.
But don't despair, I want to give another one away this week.
Just tell me in tomorrow's post, what your most favorite
Holiday decoration is. I have a Santa Claus that I just love.
I'll take a picture and post him tomorrow. Actually he is more
of an Art Doll. Today my sister and niece and two aunts braved
the elements and drove to Kalamazoo to Wings.
It was their annual Christmas craft show.
Wings is the hockey rink that they turn into a show room.
Actually its both rinks and the annexes also. Stuff everywhere.
Usually I can find something that I like and I did today.
Its a sheep ornament, with the cutest face I've ever seen.
I know attendance was way down from other years. Not sure if
it was the weather or just the state of our state. I do believe that
after 4 years of going I'm getting tired of it. You would think
they would at least throw in some new vendors just to shake it up.
And with my back hurting like it does I wasn't having much fun.
But we ended the day at Olive Garden. :^)

And the winner is...

ME!
Melissa at Chinook Jewelry had a give away over the
Thanksgiving weekend. It was for a beautiful pair of
earrings. Her blond buddy helped with the drawing.

And looky there. Its my name that came out
of the box! Thanks Melissa! Give that girl a big
hug for me. See dog's know...haha!

These are the earrings I get. In one
of my favorite colors from Melissa's store.
Thanks again, I'm really excited.
And speaking of give aways. Don't forget to
leave a message in my first Dec. post for that
felt dove. She's a beauty up close! Just tell what
you love best about the Christmas season.

Oh, the weather outside is frightful

But the fire is so delightful,
And since we’ve no place to go,
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow...

Now its really feeling like the season is upon us!
Lots of snow today.
Once the old Thanksgiving turkey carcass is thrown out
the door, its time to think of Christmas.
I love this time of year. I love the lights, the trees,
pulling out my Christmas decorations.
I love going to Church and listening about
the birth of Christ...I'll never be tired of that story.
Hanging of the greens, the beautiful songs.
I love that warm feeling in my chest and the tears
I get in my eyes when I hear "Oh, Holy Night" or "Ave Maria".
I love the parties, getting together with my friends and family.
Is that enough mush for you guys?
I'm feeling warm and fuzzy here...
Tell me what you love best about the Christmas season.
I have a beautiful dove ornament, made par moi,
and I want to give it away. Its very three dimensional,
made from felt, hand sewn and stuffed.

I'll randomly draw a name on Saturday. Merry Christmas, to all!
