Okay, I don't think that's gonna happen, I am more
addicted to buying beads than getting tats. But today I
went and got my second tattoo in 35 years. The name
of the shop is called New Addiction, its by the college
in Kalamazoo. Nice place, good people and Jeret did a
fine job. Good thing I didn't find something bigger to
get done. About half way through I was asking myself
what was I thinking...Geary had warned me that it was
gonna hurt. But only once did I say out loud "ouch!" So
there it is, in all its red and angry glory. Pink dogwood
flowers, they look kind of bright and red, but there is
more white that will come out later. Its climbing up the
right side of my calf. And I do have an idea for another one,
but I think its gonna be a bit smaller...ouch!

You rebel, you :o) Even though I don't ever foresee getting one of my own, I think it's pretty and will look really nice by the time you're all tanned after the Bead Cruise!
ReplyDeleteI wish I had the b*lls to get one myself!
ReplyDeleteGood for you! I love it! (you will want more, trust me, they are indeed addicting)
ReplyDeleteI looooove it!
ReplyDeleteyou are brave!
ReplyDeletei just dyed my hair purple today, that didn't hurt a bit ;)
Its a funny thing ladies, I've been wanting one for along time. Seemed like the right thing to do, I tried not to be a whiny, crying little bitch, but I did grit my teeth a lot...lol. And hey, purple hair would be considered a big deal. Bet it looks good though. I colored my hair once in a color called Black Cherry, it matched the color of my car at the time. ;^)
ReplyDeleteI want to see another picture when the white is more predominant!! Watch out, Rosanne - probably is very addicting...
ReplyDeleteRosanne the tat looks great. You are a brave woman!!! I am glad you did something for you.
ReplyDeleteNow on to the purple hair. I still have visions of dying my hair purple. One of these days I might do that.
I love it - I have quite a few tats myself my favorite being a dragonfly on my ankle. This is different and really nice - good for you!!!! Is Bev getting one next???
ReplyDeleteHey Jean, I don't think Bev is too interested in getting a tat. We do get the fake ones once in a while...she got one on our cruise last time, a dragonfly on her forearm. That night she was reading in our cabin and she caught a glimpse of it out of the corner of her eye. I heard this big gasp and knew exactly what she'd seen. Beverly makes me laugh all the time.
ReplyDeletePlease Bev don't go purple on me!
ReplyDeleteThat fake tattoo we got in Mexico scared me. I don't think I will ever get a real one. I promise not to dye my hair purple!
ReplyDeleteAwesome! I got my first tat when I was 37yrs old, I now have 5 and bought my mom her first tattoo for her 60th birthday:)
ReplyDeleteJolene
Jolene, I don't think I could talk my mom into getting one no matter how hard I tried. Good for her.
ReplyDeleteThis is my second, the first one I got was 34 years ago...lol
When my mother saw my tattoos she said they mixed up the babies in the hospital and gave her a crazy persons baby - no tat's for her.
ReplyDeleteI died my hair orange once - well it was an accident - my neighbor asked if I was getting ready for Halloween early - it was July!!!
Although it's pretty, it looks like a big OW OW OW to me.
ReplyDeleteso cool - i think that is why i haven't started - i know i will be addicted! my daughter and i may do it together... have some neat ideas...
ReplyDeletei think we are going to see 'avatar' again too...
enjoy, and happy new year!
Ouch!!! Love it!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year
I wish you many blessings, health and prosperity in this New Year! May God bless you and all your love ones!
