Finally its posted!! With lots of help from my sister Beverly, I have my June Bead Journal page posted. Somehow I fell behind on everything, and I was going along so well! The whole idea behind my first page has to do with the fond memories I had (and still have) of my first Bead Cruise. I love the water, waves and sunshine. It was my first cruise and I am absolutely hooked! It was so fitting to pay tribute to that memory.

ReplyDeleteSuperb page, color, texture and you can feel the ocean.
ReplyDeleteThank you everyone for the encouraging comments on my efforts.
ReplyDeleteThe shell beads are czech, I got them at the Int'l Quilt Show in Chicago. The pearls are my treasure stash. I used fringe drops for the little "bubbly pools". Everything else is seed beads. I'm trying to kep my promise of using only the beads I had before starting this journal. So far I am keeping to it ;^)
Love it and yes it looks like the rocks and pebbles at the bottom of the river I used to swim in and I say used to because you probably can't see the bottom now. It's beautiful! Thanks for sharing.
